Sarah A. Miller is an independent editorial photographer with 10+ years of experience in visual journalism.

With a passion for community journalism and empathy for all people, Sarah is a journalist that people feel comfortable to work with.

As a storyteller, Sarah looks for the humanity inside the trending news topics of the day.

She's also adept in sports photography, lifestyle assignments, portraits, events and weddings.

She holds a bachelors degree from Central Michigan University in journalism with a minor in broadcast & cinematic arts. After college, Sarah attended the Eddie Adams Workshop Barnstorm XXIII (2010), Missouri Photo Workshop (2017), Mountain Workshops (2015), was a speaker at the NPPA Women in Visual Journalism Conference (2017), and was a student in the winter 2020 cohort of the Poynter Leadership Academy for Women in Media.

I majored in Journalism and minored in Broadcasting & Cinematic Arts at CMU. During my time there I worked as a writer and photographer for the school newspaper and online magazine. I also worked as on-air talent and behind the scenes at the school’s radio and television stations. Beyond that I was a members of the Honors Program and played clarinet in school band.
